Sleep Apnea

Sleep apnea is a potentially life-threatening sleep disorder characterized by repeated pauses in breathing during sleep. The breathing pauses can last anywhere from several seconds to minutes, and happen as often as 30 times or more per hour. Ongoing disrupted breathing causes an imbalance between the carbon dioxide and oxygen levels in the bloodstream, as not enough carbon dioxide is exiting and not enough oxygen is entering the body.

Bridges

Bridges can be utilized when tooth loss occurs due to gum disease, decay, or injury. The loss of the tooth can create greater problems for your dental health if it is not corrected. The teeth next to the missing tooth (or teeth) can begin to move and result in pain, discomfort, and can look unsightly. With bridges, your dentist will close any gaps in your mouth.

Dental Exam

When you come in for a clinical exam, or routine check up, your dentist will take a look at the overall health of your mouth and teeth and diagnose any problem areas.

Composite Filling

When a tooth is affected by decay, fractures, or cracks, a dental filling is needed to restore the tooth. In a single dental appointment, the decayed or injured tooth will be removed, cleaned, and filled. Composite fillings can be matched to the color of your existing tooth. Since the color is the same as your original tooth, the filling will look aesthetically pleasing and restore your teeth to a healthy, beautiful smile.

Extractions

An extraction is when a patient has a tooth removed from their mouth. Extractions are performed for a variety of reasons, such as tooth decay that has ruined enough of a patient’s tooth structure and a restoration is no longer an option. Other reasons include removing impacted or problematic teeth. For the extraction, our dental team will use local anesthetic to numb the area of the tooth that is going to be removed. Should you have several teeth that are going to be extracted, our dentists will use a general anesthetic and you will be sedated during the entire procedure.

Endodontic Therapy (Root Canals)

Root canal therapy is needed when a cavity has reached the pulp of a tooth causing an infection of the nerve, or when severe trauma has affected the tooth. When endodontic therapy is performed, your dentist will clean out the infected pulp, and disinfect the canals of the tooth. Once the area has been disinfected, the canals of the tooth are filled with a special material to prevent from further infections, and help in the healing of the tooth. Sometimes a core build-up, bonded post, and crown are necessary for restoring a tooth to function.
